Koh Tao (Turtle Island in Thai) has white sandy beaches and is surrounded by the crystal clear water found in the Gulf of Thailand. Its amazing coral reefs are home to a wide variety of colorful and exciting sea creatures.
On the northern coast of Koh Samui is the famous Big Buddha shrine. Located near the Big Buddha in the north of the island is Wat Plai Laem. Wat Plai Laem is a colorful and interesting Buddhist Temple. The temple features ornate decor and art as well as an 18-arm image of Guanyin whom is the Goddess of Mercy.
The Secret Buddha Garden is hidden away high in the hills in Koh Samui's interior, offering majestic views and an unusual collection of statues amid lush jungle surrounds
Luang Pordaeng is one of Samuis most famous mummified monks and is on display at Mummy Monk at What Khunaram. Luang Pordaeng died over 20 years ago and as per his instructions, his body was placed in a specially designed glass case. It has remained there ever since and has shown few signs of decay.
Ladyboys or Katoeys, as the Thai’s would call them, are Thailands third sex and are world famous. Ladyboy cabarets are plentiful on Chaweng Beach and have shows as good as those found in Las Vegas.
